Thorntons Easter Egg Review and Giveaway

I was sent the Raspberry Cheesecake Easter Egg to review by Thornton’s and although Easter is a few weeks away we cracked open the Easter egg and really enjoyed the unique flavor of it. I loved the white chocolate and the raspberry flavor was perfect with the crunchy biscuit pieces. The best thing about the Thornton’s Eggs is that they are suitable for vegetarians; they have no gluten and are free from any artificial colours and flavours. I would definitely buy this Egg again.

Easter and chocolate go hand in hand and this Easter there are some fabulous Easter Eggs launched by Thorntons. For the young ones Thorntons are introducing a new chocolate bunny Harry Hopalot. The adorable Harry Hopalot is special Easter bunny with a story to tell. It’s a fluffy tale of courage, determination, and of course oodles and oodles of chocolate. Armed with his magic bag and the support from his friends, he hops faster than the wind to deliver your Thorntons Easter Eggs. He’s the little bunny with the big responsibility, but he wouldn’t change it for the world.

Harry Hopalot himself is available as a range of milk and white chocolate models this Easter; from the mini 60g Harry Hopalot (RSP £2.99) up to the impressive 250g model (RSP £10.00.) All of these cute models are decorated with white and dark chocolate, or if you prefer your chocolate egg-shaped there’s also a Harry Hopalot Easter egg (RSP £3.49).

For the Adults there are some lovely dessert themed eggs from Thorntons. Flavors such as Cheesecake Egg (RSP £14.99)- a Raspberry flavored white chocolate egg containing biscuit crumble pieces and raspberry, and the Fudge Brownie Egg (RSP £14.99) - made from smooth dark chocolate and crammed with fudge, walnut & brownie biscuit pieces in the shell.

Together with these two awesome Eggs, Thorntons is also bringing a quirky twist to your Easter egg with its new Squeggs – quite simply squashed eggs. There are two in the range; Cookies & Cream (RSP: £5.99) and Cinnamon & Waffle (RSP: £5.99). They also come in a little treat lolly too (RSP 1.99).  These unusual treats will definitely brighten up any Easter.

Easter would not be Easter without Hot cross buns and Thorntons have believe it or not A Hot Cross Bun Egg (RSP: £9.99), a milk chocolate egg with mixed spices and orange stirred throughout - it tastes just like the real thing!

Finally if you have a large family and want an egg to share, you can get the  ultimate Easter gift giant Marvelously Magnificent Egg (RSP: £24.99) - Thorntons’ biggest Easter egg weighing a whopping 1kg so it’s also perfect for sharing with all the family.
Thorntons range does not stop there, they have arrange of mini Easter Eggs including the Shining Star Egg (RSP £3.99) - a gorgeous milk chocolate egg with a shower of colorful stars . Sports fans may prefer the milk chocolate Footy Fanatic Egg (RSP £3.99), decorated with white and dark chocolate footballs, or the new Cupcake Egg (RSP £3.99) is the perfect treat for those that are crazy about cupcakes! What’s more, all of the Thorntons children’s range can be personalized in store.
All the eggs are available in all Thornton shops and also on line.

I would like to Thank Thorntons for sending me the Easter egg to try, all the views and opinions are my own and I was not asked to write a positive comment.Thorntons were very generous and had also sent me a wonderful box of chocolates for valentines but due to some problems I was not able to review them and they were very understanding and asked me to enjoy them anyway.

Thorntons have been very kind and have agreed to send one simplyfood reader a Raspberry Cheesecake egg to enjoy.

  39. Mine would have to be a combination of some of my favourite ingredients: a dark chocolate egg - mixed roasted nut with cherries and vanilla. I also quite fancy a 'Christmassy' flavour one, with nuts and cinnamon, or orange and nutmeg. Fingers crossed. I'm lactose-intolerant so rarely get an Easter egg but the prize egg for this competition is one that would certainly appeal to my well-deserving better half and I'd love to be able to treat him for a change.
